PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric component which is easily manufactured and superior in airtightness. SOLUTION: A through-hole 4b is provided to a case 4, penetrating through it in a vertical direction, and a sliding piece 3 is provided to the case 4 so as to protrude inside the through-hole 4b by insert molding. Terminals 3b3 and 3c3 connected to the sliding piece 3 and a connector 7 are formed as they are protruding from the bottom 4j of a side wall 4a. After the sliding piece 3 is bent, a rotor 1 is superposed so as to stop up the upper opening of the through-hole 4b, and a film 10 is fixed to a part of the bottom 4j where the terminals 3b3, 3c3 and the connector 7 are not located. The lower opening of the through-hole 4b is covered with the film 10, and a gap is provided between the film 10 and a printed wiring board 11. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
