<p>A connection structure of a side member to a cross member, wherein a leaf spring bracket is fixed to the lateral outer surface of the vertical wall of the side member with rivets passed through the vertical wall, a gusset connecting the lateral end part of the cross member to the side member comprises a vertical plate and upper and lower lateral plates, the vertical plate is fixed to the vertical wall of the side member, the upper and lower lateral plates extend from the upper and lower ends of the vertical plate to a lateral inner side and are fixed to the upper wall and lower wall of the cross member, the vertical plate comprises ribs swelling to the lateral inner side, the ribs form recessed parts in the lateral outer surface of the vertical plate, and the portions of the rivets projected from the lateral inner surface of the vertical wall are stored in the recessed portions, whereby the vertical plate is fixed to the lateral inner surface of the vertical wall in a surface-contact state.</p> |
