<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk recording/reproducing system capable of improving reliability during recording and reproducing. <P>SOLUTION: The optical disk recording/reproducing system which has the function of executing laser power calibration for a rewritable optical disk, and an optimal recording laser value storage function of storing an optimal recording power value obtained by the laser power calibration of the function is provided with the function of reproducing data immediately after the recording of the data by optimal recording power, executing laser power calibration again on the optical disk when an error is detected by the reproduction, and recording/reproducing the data again in the recording/reproducing area by optimal recording power obtained by the laser power calibration, the function of recording the data again in the rerecording area by the recording power of a value larger than the optimal recording power of the second time when an error is detected by the reproduction, and the function of inhibiting a data recording operation after the recording of the third time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
