<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device and its buffer control method capable of reducing the possibility of the frame drop of a display image with a 3D image to be plotted according to a scenario as an element image. <P>SOLUTION: In this display device for preparing a display image having a 3D image as an element image, which changes synchronously with the picture switching period of the display picture according to a scenario specifying a display development story, and for displaying the display image on the display picture, when the element image appearing according to the scenario is a 3D image, the display image is plotted in a plotting buffer based on the corresponding 3D image data, and the image in a rectangular area including the plotted 3D image is read for each prescribed reading unit pixel group constituted of at least one pixel as a 2D image, and disposed at a display buffer, and simultaneously with or just after this, the area of each reading unit pixel group read in the plotting buffer is cleared, and the area is defined as a permeable area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
