<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera system which keeps a video signal level and depth of field fixed. <P>SOLUTION: The brightness value of a LED for illuminating an object is controlled in accordance with a video signal level of a camera to keep object illumination fixed.
