PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the function of automatically adjusting reaction force when tilting a backrest 2 by a configuration simpler than conventional one. SOLUTION: The chair includes a reaction force mechanism 3 for applying the reaction force to the backrest 2 when the backrest 2 is tilted, a fluid pump 4 disposed under a seat surface, and a reaction force adjusting mechanism 5 for varying the size of the reaction force that the reaction force mechanism 3 demonstrates to the backrest 2 according to the pressure of fluid flowing out from the fluid pump 4 which receives the load of a sitting person through a seat 1.
