<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To offer service with high quality to a request from a requester whose position is uncertain. <P>SOLUTION: In this service offering method, the requester existing at a spot A where an incident occurs calls a receiving station 10 by using his/her portable telephone 1, requests service, for example 'call a police car', the receiving station 10 determines a name of a subscriber from a telephone number of the portable telephone 1 from which the request is received, informs a positional information service center 20 of the telephone number, a service name and position limiting information for limiting the position of the requester, the positional information service center 20 specifies an existence range of the portable telephone 1 by retrieving positions to a plurality of radio base stations 2a to 2d stored in a district of the position from the telephone number of the portable telephone 1 and informs a police car 3b at the closest to the existence range among a plurality of police cars 3b to 3d under control of the name of the requester who requests the service, the existence range of the portable telephone 1, the service name, etc. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
