PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plug-in power supply for changing the voltage of the main power source which can be handled easily and safely in a reduced size into an operating voltage. SOLUTION: The plug-in power supply 100 provided for changing the main voltage into an operating voltage includes a housing 102 with an electric circuit for voltage conversion arranged inside and at least two main contact pins 108 inserted in a main socket and movable between an operating position substantially extended at right angles against one o the surfaces of the housing and a pause position one step above the surface, and the main contact pins are arranged substantially in parallel with at least one of the surfaces at the pause position. Relative geometric arrangement of the main contact pins at the pause position is different from that at the operating position. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
