PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a greening unit enabling a user to easily green a wall surface and easily exchange planting materials, if necessary. SOLUTION: This greening unit is formed by holding in a storage container 5 formed in a box with an opened front, a planting holder 1 which has an almost tray-like holder main body 2 and in which a leaf stem part f of a planting object P is exposed to the outside of the holder main body 2, and a root part r of the planting object P is wrapped with substitute soil, laid on the ground in an almost horizontal state and held in the holder main body 2, so as to position the leaf stem part f on an opening side and the root part r on a backwall side 54.
