PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a space between respective electrodes constant, to simplify a manufacturing process, and to save a manufacturing cost, in an electron beam type flat panel display. SOLUTION: A plate-like spacer is used as a spacer for keeping the space between the electrodes constant, instead of a glass rod. That is, the spacer is formed plate-likely, and a space part for passing an electron beam is formed in an inside, in the color flat panel display provided with a plurality of plate electrodes including a backface glass, a backface electrode, a linear negative electrode for discharging an electron, a control electrode, a signal electrode, a focusing electrode and a horizontal/vertical deflection electrode, and a front glass formed with a fluorescent screen, and provided with the spacers for separating the electrodes with a prescribed space.
