<p>The present invention relates to diester dicarboxylate antimicrobial compositions and methods employing these diester dicarboxylate compositions. The diester dicarboxylate compositions typically contain a diester dicarboxylate having the formula: wherein n is 4-8 and R1 and R2 are independently C1 to C4 alkyl. The diester dicarboxylate antimicrobial compositions can reduce the population of microbes on various surfaces such as facilities, containers, or equipment found in food, beverage, or pharmaceutical industries at temperatures between about -70 °C to about 100 °C.</p> |
