<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method and device for obtaining accurate luminance distribution at the time of changing the direction of a light to be butted to an object by setting conditions such as the reflecting characteristics of the surface of the object or the kind of a light source, and estimating the direction of a light. <P>SOLUTION: This image processing method is executed by an image processing device configured of a peripheral environment light removing part 1, an edge luminance comparing part 2, a luminance maximum value retrieving part 3, a luminance value specifying part 4, a light source inclination calculating part 5, a luminance correcting part 6, and a position deciding flag 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
