PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery having a nail hook for pulling out the battery from a small battery housing space on a battery can. SOLUTION: A recessed part 12 is formed on a bottom surface of the battery can 2 at processing of the battery can 2. The protruding quantity of the recessed part 12 to the can inner side is small, and the recessed part 12 has a sufficient depth from the outer surface so that a fingertip is hooked. The nail hook to be hooked by the fingertip when pulling out the battery from the battery housing space is formed on the battery can itself. Thus, the battery having the nail hook can be produced without increasing a cost or mandays which is caused by using an additional member. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
