PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display device for outputting sound in which a video signal to be displayed coincides with a sound signal for a monitor. SOLUTION: This plasma display device has an image processing circuit 22 for inputting a video signal based on an image signal to a panel 21 to display the video signal, a sound processing circuit 23 for processing a sound input signal sent together with the image signal and outputting a prescribed sound output signal, an AD converter 24, a DA converter 25 and a memory circuit 26, converts the sound input signal into a digital signal to store the digital signal in the memory circuit 26, reads out the digital signal from the memory circuit 26 so as to make the video signal almost coincide with the sound output signal and outputs a prescribed sound output signal.
