PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust a frame rate while capturing video. SOLUTION: A camera 100 includes a video capture selector 128 having a 1st operation state wherein image data are captured at a 1st rate C1 and a 2nd user-selectable state wherein image data are captured at a 2nd rate C2 different from the 1st rate C1 and the selector 128 is capable of switching between the 1st state and 2nd stage while continuous image data are captured.
