PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data terminal which enables the voice talking with a communication party through a PC card device. SOLUTION: A means is provided for deciding whether signals inputted to a controller 4 are voice data signals. If the deciding means decides the input signals to be voice data signals, a PC card device 2 is instructed to transmit signals received by a radio transceiver 13 to an interface unit, without data conversion by a data converter 14. The signals transferred, without conversion, by this instructing means are fed to an ADPCM unit 8 and a PCM converter 9 to restore voice signals. In the transmission, the operation is reversed.
