PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile telephone set which reduces the labor and time for message input operation. SOLUTION: The mobile telephone set has an input operation part with character input keys 22 each having on a top surface projections showing representative characters representing inputtable characters, a voice/message converting device which converts a message inputted by using the input operation part and composed of a character string into a voice, and an information transmission and reception part which sends the voice received from the voice/ message converting device to the outer side.
