AV GATEWAY DEVICE

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an AV gateway device which can access transparently to contents on the Internet from AV peripheral equipment connected to an AV network. SOLUTION: The AV gate device 101 is connected to a broadband network 113 and an IEEE1394 serial bus 111 and obtains contents information stored on a contents server 114 on the broadband network 113. This contents server 114 is considered to be virtual IEEE1394 equipment storing contents for the IEEE1394 serial bus 111. Other IEEE1394 equipment 112 which is connected to the IEEE1394 serial bus 111 is able to access the virtual IEEE1394 as well. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
