LAMP SOCKET AND LIGHTING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lamp socket capable of preventing permeation of water like rainwater between a metal cap and a lamp socket of a single capped lamp.

SOLUTION: This invention relates to the single ended lamp 10 with its bulb end 11 having a metal cap 12 which has four metal pins 13 projecting from the end metal surface 12a and a lamp socket 20 detachably connected. The wall 21a of a socket main body 21 facing the end metal 12a of the metal cap 12 has four metal pin insertion holes 21b to mate with respective metal pins 13. Sealing member 30 having pin insertion holes into which metal pins 13 are inserted is mounted to the wall 21a. The sealing member 30 is pinched between the metal cap 12 and the wall 21a when the lamp 10 is loaded. The metal pins 13 are sealed with the sealing member 30.
