<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charge cleaning method for pay information through a network, capable of performing charge clearing by using a reliable totalizator by solving the problem of settlement caused by use of a credit card. <P>SOLUTION: An apparatus of a sport event sponsor including a totalizator for managing the operation of a sport event and managing betting by members of cash-less betting, is informed of a password for receiving pay information from a device of an information provider. The apparatus of the stores the password in a memory, conducts the processing according to the request for purchasing betting tickets from the terminal of the betting person through the network, and the terminal is informed of the password to the request for the password for gaining access to the pay information.
