<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for making it possible to appropriately view a character part even in reproducing video of a large display size such as TV video on a receiving terminal with a small display size. <P>SOLUTION: A video conversion device is provided with a video conversion function for segmenting an image for a character part such as a caption and a leader appearing in video according to a control parameter specially designated and stored in a video conversion information part, multiplexing an image subjected to size conversion or holding the original size with the original image or an image obtained by converting the original image in size, and outputting the resultant image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
