PEAK LIMITER AND MULTI-CARRIER AMPLIFIER APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a peak limiter and a multi-carrier amplifier apparatus capable of improving power efficiency of an amplifier system by performing effective peak limitation to realize suppression of peaks in an amplifier input signal with precision, for solving the problem in conventional peak limiter that it is difficult to set an optimum peak threshold value and effective peak limitation cannot be performed.

SOLUTION: The limiter and the apparatus receive a baseband signal of each carrier, determine power of a multi-carrier signal which is approximately estimated when combining in a high-frequency band, and output each signal in which the amplitude of each baseband signal is suppressed on the basis of the power. In a receive for receiving radio signals transmitted from each of mobile communication terminals in a radio zone, an economical system with high reliability is configured.
