<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk that, after this disk with a ROM data area is manufactured, enables a small capacity of control data to be written in the disk, and also to provide an optical disk system and a semiconductor device for controlling this optical disk system. <P>SOLUTION: On the optical disk 11, a rewritable area 14 is provided as well as a ROM data area 13. The control data of the ROM data stored in the ROM data area 13 is recorded in this rewritable area 14 by means of the same laser power as used for example at reproduction.
