PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information editing device enabling a user to clearly recognize the contents of recording information including image information and recorded in a recording medium. SOLUTION: The information editing device comprises: a first selection means 14 for selecting a thumbnail image indicating the contents of the recording information recorded in the recording medium 1 from images corresponding to the image information; a second selection means 14 for selecting the thumbnail image from the images other than the images corresponding to the image information in the recording information; and a recording means 8 for recording first position information indicating the recording position on the recording medium 1 of the image information corresponding to the image selected by the first selection means 14 and second position information indicating the recording position on the recording medium 1 of the image information corresponding to the image selected by the second selection means 14 in the recording medium 1.
