PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality detection system capable of surely detecting the abnormality of a target person to be detected. SOLUTION: In the abnormality detection system provided with human body detection sensors 11a to 11c for detecting the movement of the target person in a detection area, an alarm circuit part 16 for outputting an alarm and a signal processing part 10 for detecting whether the target person is moved or not from the detection outputs of the sensors 11a to 11c and outputting an alarm from the alarm circuit part 16 when there is no movement, the signal processing part 10 allows the alarm output part 16 to output a warning for promoting the target person to move when the movement of the target person is not detected in the lapse of a prescribed warning period from the preceding detection of the movement of the target person by the sensors 11a to 11c, output an abnormality alarm for informing the external of possible abnormality when the movement of the target person is not detected in the lapse of an alarm period longer than the warning period from the preceding detection.
