An information recording device capable of recording broadcast information in such a manner that broadcast information to be reproduced can be accurately specified and reproduced, thereby improving convenience of reproduction of broadcast information. Time management during reproduction is performed on allocation unit ALU basis b y using a reception time of the first packet and a reception time of the last packet of the allocation unit ALU containing a plurality of packets contained in the broadcast information. The time management is also performed on the access unit basis including an I-picture according to display time information or reception time information on the I-picture contained in the packet.
