A display panel is prevented from being flawed by the contact of the display panel with the top faces of operation keys. A foldable-type portable communicator comprises a first casing (1) equipped with a display section, a second casing (6) equipped with an operating section, and a hinge section (11) for foldably opening/closing the first casing (1) and the second casing (6). Projections (10) projecting higher than the operating section are provided on the open/close end opposite to the hinge section (11) and between the hinge section and this open/close end.
