The invention provides a subfloor for supporting a covering floor, comprising a layer of resilient material provided with a liquid-tight coating as well as with cross cuts extending up to the coating. The resilient material is also provided with a cut in longitudinal direction, parallel to an edge of the layer of resilient material. The invention furthermore provides a method for using such a subfloor.
