摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode material capable of improving safety in addition to keeping the service capacity and the cycle characteristic of a nonaqueous secondary battery, and a nonaqueous secondary battery formed using the same. <P>SOLUTION: This electrode material for the nonaqueous secondary battery being formed by coating an active material with a coating material consisting of a coating compound including Al and O, and so that the peak of the<SP>27</SP>Al of solid NMR measured by rotating the specimen of the coating material around an magic angle satisfies the following (1) and (2), and the nonaqueous secondary battery formed using the same: (1) assuming that the main peak position of &alpha;-alumina is at 0 ppm, there is a main peak (main peak A) between -3 to +5 ppm, and (main peak intensity of 50-100 ppm)<(main peak A intensity)&times;0.2, and (2) ((first rotational side-band intensity of main peak A)/(main peak A intensity))/((first rotational side-band intensity of &alpha;-alumina main peak)/(main peak intensity of &alpha;-alumina))&ge;9. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
