<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the code reading time for a plurality of sheets on which a plurality of codes are displayed. <P>SOLUTION: This optical reader is provided with a sheet carrying mechanism 200 for carrying the sheets 10 one by one in sequence, a first code reading mechanism 300 for reading the one-dimensional codes 11 on the sheets 10 carried by the sheet carrying mechanism 200 after aligned to the codes, a second code reading mechanism 400 for reading the two-dimensional codes 12 on the sheets 10 carried by the sheet carrying mechanism 200 after aligned to the codes, and a read sheet storing part 500 for holding and storing the sheets after the codes are read by the first code reading mechanism 300 and the second code reading mechanism 400. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
