PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature compensation type piezoelectric oscillator capable of more highly stabilizing the frequency stability caused by a temperature characteristic of an oscillation frequency of a piezoelectric vibrator mounted in a package and accurately detecting ambient temperature of the piezoelectric vibrator thereby performing highly accurate temperature compensation. SOLUTION: In the temperature compensation type piezoelectric oscillator wherein a recessed part is provided to one major side of a rectangular board provided with an external connection terminal, an integrated circuit element including a temperature compensation circuit having an oscillation circuit and a temperature sensing element is placed in the recessed part, the piezoelectric vibrators are closely placed on an upper plane of the integrated circuit element, and a plurality of connection pads placed on the upper face of the board and electrically connected to signal input terminals or the like of the integrated circuit element are fixed and conductive to external connection terminals of the piezoelectric vibrators.
