PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent entry of water based on a seal resin cross section when bonding a device substrate and a sealing substrate mutually using seal resin. SOLUTION: This display device is constituted by bonding the device substrate 200 and the sealing substrate 300 mutually. A channel 301 is provided on the sealing substrate 300, and the device substrate 200 is bonded while a sealing resin 400 is buried in the channel 301. When the device substrate 200 and the sealing substrate 300 are bonded mutually, the sealing resin 400 comes into contact with the device substrate 200 on only a boundary face with the sealing substrate 300 so that it is possible to prevent the entry of water from a side face of the sealing resin as is observed in a conventional device.
