CONTAINER FOR TOXIC CHEMICAL WASTE, THE BODY OF SAID CONTAINER AND THE METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF

The invention relates to the immobilisation of toxic waste. The inventive container for toxic chemical waste comprises a body (1) embodied in the form of an integral part with a bottom (2) and a lid (3) provided with fixing units. Said body (1) and the lid (3) are made of pressed fibre glass-reinforced plastic based on a binder and glass threads whose diameter is equal to or less then 11 mkm. The ratio between the diameter of the glass threads and the length thereof is equal to 1: (0.64-1.36). The body (1) is provided with a recess (6) in the bottom (2) thereof and a bulged top part (4) under which a demountable tyre band (5) is arranged. The body of the container is embodied in the form of a vertical cylindrical barrel made of loaded polymeric composite and has a ratio between the length of the basis and the height thereof equal to 1: (1-1.35), the wall thickness of the body ranging from 9 to 10 mm. The inventive method for producing said body consists in preparing a polymeric composite, placing it into a mould and forming. The glass fibre-reinforced plastic having a component ratio equal to 1: (1.56-1.70) and a volume equal to the volume of the body being placed in the mould, the dry forming thereof is carried out with a gradual increase of temperature up to 180 DEG C during 3 minutes. Said container exhibits high performance characteristics and low costs.
