The invention relates to an extract that can be obtained by percolation of overground plant parts from Artemisia abrotanum L. (southernwood) with aqueous or aqueous-alcoholic liquids, optionally followed by the drying of the extract obtained with the aqueous or aqueous-alcoholic liquids. Said extract can be used as medicament in the treatment of infections.
