<p>A fluid dispensing device (5) is disclosed having a body (6) housing a pump action fluid discharge device (8) and having a dispensing nozzle (11). The pump action discharging device (8) is arranged to be actuated by a spring (40) which is retainable in a set position by one or more detents (44a, 44b) which are engageable with apertures (21, 22) in the body (6) to define a locking means. When the detents (44a, 44b) are released from the apertures (21, 22) the force stored in the spring (40) is applied to the fluid discharge device (8) and a single dose of fluid is dispensed from the nozzle (11). To reset the spring (40) an end cap (7) is arranged to drivingly engage the fluid discharge device (8) and is used to re-compress the spring (40) as the end cap (7) is engaged with the body (6) to protect the dispensing nozzle (11).</p> |
