The common cross-direction surface of the first and second channels in the waveguide (1) increases or remains substantially constant when viewed from the loudspeaker outlet. The system comprises a loudspeaker and a waveguide for connecting to an outlet in the loudspeaker. The waveguide comprises enclosed channels (3) which are separated from each other by partition walls and extend in a direction at right angles to the loudspeaker length axis. These channels include a first set of channels (4) which are substantially straight and a second set of channels (5) which are at least partly curved.
