<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sugar oxidation electrode enabling the chemical energy of the sugar to be used directly for electric energy and a battery using this. <P>SOLUTION: The complex electrode for sugar oxidation at least contains either silver and gold, silver and platinum, or sliver, gold and platinum, by which, a high-efficiency use, that is, a use of two or more electrons out of 24 the sugar has, is made possible at a more cathodic potential.
