摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in a conventional stereoscopic display apparatus employing a liquid crystal panel for a display monitor that it causes a sense of fatigue to a user due to a double image or flickering because the screen is dark and the response is slow in comparison with those of a display apparatus employing a CRT. <P>SOLUTION: After writing each of R, G, B fields for the left eye image for one frame of 16.6 msec, similarly each field is written also for the right eye image. At that time, black is entirely written between fields, and each field is completed within a time of 16.6/6=2.8 msec or below from the writing, backlight emission and full back writing. The full screen back write time t5 may be at least a time t4 or over required for storing the liquid crystal. An OCB liquid crystal, which has a high modulation rate of the liquid crystal and compatibility between the high modulation rate and high speed response, is proper to the liquid crystal panel 12.
