SEALING STRUCTURE FOR HOUSING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing structure for a hosing by which water penetration into the housing can be reliably prevented.

SOLUTION: A packing 23 is provided with a groove 25 whose cross section perpendicular to an annular extension is rectangular along the annular extension of the packing 23 itself. The packing 23 is placed on a wall 21 is such a way that the wall 21 is implanted in the groove 25. Namely, the packing 23 is placed on the wall 21 in such a way that it covers the end 21a and both sides 21b and 21c of the wall 21. Accordingly, the cross section perpendicular to the annular extension of the packing 23 itself is approximately in a horseshoe shape. Especially, the side 23b of the outside of the packing 23 (the upper side in the figure) is formed with an outer protrusion 27 toward the outside and it is formed into an annular shape and make a round of the side 23b outside the packing 23.
