PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply for driving a magnetron capable of suppressing a high harmonic wave current. SOLUTION: This power supply for driving the magnetron is composed of a commercial power supply, a primary rectification means for rectifying commercial power supply, a first capacitor connected with the primary rectification means, a high voltage transformer connected with the first capacitor and provided with a secondary rectification means and the magnetron on a secondary side, a series body of a first semiconductor switch and a second semiconductor switch whose connection is connected with the high voltage transformer, and a second capacitor connected with the series body of the first and second semiconductor switches in parallel. A voltage of the second capacitor is controlled to realize the power supply for driving the magnetron capable of reducing high harmonic wave component of an input current and operating at a high power factor.
