PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical reproducing method and an optical reproducing device, by which the information is reproduced with a high S/N from an optical recording medium including a minute mark or a pit in the reproduction limit or smaller. SOLUTION: In an optical reproducing device for reproducing the information from the pit or the mark formed in the track direction of a super-high resolution optical disk by detecting reflected light (or transmitted light) of the light irradiated on the super-high resolution optical disk, a 1st edge photodetector 45 and a 2nd edge photodetector 47 are furnished for detecting signals of the terminal parts in the track direction in the luminous flux of the reflected light (or transmitted light).
