<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio wave receiving/optical transmitting system which has a practical sensitivity and can deal with radio waves over a wide band. <P>SOLUTION: In the radio wave receiving/optical transmitting system mainly provided with a light source for generating non-modulated light, an optical fiber for transmitting the non-modulated light, an optical modulator for modulating the non-modulated light with an electric signal, an antenna for receiving a radio wave, an input filter, an electric amplifier for applying the received electric signal to the optical modulator, an optical fiber for transmitting the modulated light and an O/E converter for converting the transmitted modulated light to an electric signal, the electric signal output part of the electric amplifier and the modulating electrode of the optical modulator form a resonance circuit.
