PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method for obtaining picture quality almost equivalent to that from interpolation by a Cubic interpolation kernel or interpolation by Quadratic interpolation kernel with much smaller amounts of calculation quantity. SOLUTION: A kernel in this image processing method has two parameters and a two-order kernel function, and a point to be interpolated is calculated by using the two adjacent values of original data by the kernel.
