AUTOMOBILE POSITION COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, CAR NAVIGATION SYSTEM AND PORTABLE COMMUNICATION UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an automobile position communication system in which the positional information of an automobile can be displayed to a portable communication unit utilizing a car navigation system mounted on the automobile without requiring an extra unit. SOLUTION: A portable telephone 1 collates the ID by calling a car navigation system 2 and then acquires the positional information of its own automobile determined by the car navigation system 2. Peripheral map data including its own position and the position of its own automobile mounting the car navigation system is also acquired from a positional information center 5 and displayed together with these positions.
