PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a functional element substrate forming a group of functional elements capable of ensuring worker's safety, preventing manufacturing error, and improving work efficiency when manufacturing it. SOLUTION: A liquid droplet of a solution containing a functional material (organic EL material) is injected and given on the rectangular substrate 14 to manufacture the functional element substrate (organic EL substrate) on which the group of functional elements (group of organic EL elements) is formed like a matrix. Chamfering 14a of C1 or R1 or more is applied to each corner part of the substrate 14.
