PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for an acoustic matching layer having an easily moldable mechanical strength and a long-term stability in characteristics of acoustic matching layer even in high temperature and high humidity. SOLUTION: The composition for an acoustic matching layer contains a carbodiimide resin composition as the main component. The composition for acoustic matching layer contains an inorganic hollow body or including both the inorganic hollow body and a reactive resin. A method for manufacturing the composition for acoustic matching layer having steps of injecting the composition into a mold of the acoustic matching layer to be molded, baking, curing, and forming the composition, and the ultrasonic sensor, etc., are provided.
