PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable easy discrimination of space switching when enabling picture display with presence by moving the display position of a display picture in accordance with movement of the picture. SOLUTION: A scene change detection part 21 detects the scene change of the display picture based on an input picture signal. A movement detection part 22 detects a movement vector of the display picture. A picture position moving part 23 sets a picture display area larger than the picture size of the display picture and moves the display position of the display picture in the picture display area in accordance with the movement vector detected by the movement detection part 22. When scene change is detected by the scene change detection part 21, the picture position moving part 23 moves the display position of the display picture to a display position being not relevant to the display picture before detection of the scene change, thus easily discriminating the space switching.
