PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable even a facsimile apparatus provided with no a repeating function to receive facsimile communication normally and to enable a facsimile apparatus provided with a repeating function to transfer the facsimile communication to other facsimile apparatus as a repeating destination. SOLUTION: While the procedure of facsimile communication based upon the ITU recommendations is followed, information following an RTC signal sent after image data of one page are sent is handled as a transfer address specifying a repeating destination. As the transfer address, an E-mail address can be specified as well as a telephone address. For transfer to the E-mail address, image data received by facsimile communication are so converted as to match the protocol of information communication network. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
