PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a line occupation time and to reduce the cost for recording and output by avoiding receiving unnecessary color image data. SOLUTION: This color facsimile machine 1 capable of sending and receiving color image data to and from an opposite machine 10 comprises: a time zone setting means 81 which sets a time zone wherein the color image data are allowed to be received; a storage means 82 which clocks the current local time; and a color reception determining means 84 which allows the color image data to be received when the current local time is within the time zone stored in the storage part 82 and does not allow the color image data to be received when the current local time is not within the time zone stored in the storage part 82.
