PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory and recording device having a function to write data on graphics/characters to a disk medium and a function to record a disk label in an exact position in combination with a small size and low cost. SOLUTION: The disk label is recorded by a recording head in synchronization with rotation of the disk medium which is a recording medium. The recording density between an outer peripheral part and an inner peripheral part is corrected to make the density homogeneous. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
